Known problems and diversions- Updated regularly
We have been told of a new temporary diversion that is needed in Jackfield/Coalport. The memorial bridge is currently closed . Our suggestion is to follow the yellow line on this map . So, going clockwise, keep on the Silkin Way to the end , then continue in the same direction to the Woodbridge, cross the Severn here and pick up the Severn Way on the right after the bridge. Follow this until it hits the road, where you are back on route. Going anticlockwise, when you reach the Tile Museum keep on the road for 100 yards and then take the footpath to the right of the road (Severn Way). Follow this until you reach the Woodbridge, cross the river and turn left on the clearly signed Silkin Way to eventually re-join the T50 above Coalport. There aren't any warning signs until you reach the bridge, so we will keep checking and post when it is open again.
September 2025

Coalbrookdale
Update August 25 . There is a temporary bridge in place. See photo, so the route is passable withut the need to follow the Shropshire Way (the green diamonds on the map), rather than our trail which is the blue line.

Please tell us and T&W (easiest way is to use the My Telford app) if you find problems.
