TCW Walks Known problems and diversions-
Updated regularly
Dec 8th: We suspect that storm Darragh has caused problems in many places on the routes . As things settle we will list any blockages we know of here and suggest diversions.

Route 18 Brookside/Stirchley
There is a large tree down at Holmer lake . (photo from the Friends of Holmer Lake and Madebrook)
We think it is behind the school, the obvious diversion is shown by the red line on the map section.
Route 9: Wellington
The Ercall:
Access to the Ercall off Golf Links Lane is unaffected, however there are a few trees down across the path shortly after entering the Ercall, but they are easily crossed or bypassed. Part way up the Ercall, there is an impassable blockage that can also be easily bypassed by following the T50 route to the right where the 2 routes separate.
On the way back, it is necessary to divert onto the red line on the map. After crossing over the M54, turn left down the alleyway onto Hampton Hill instead of turning right onto a path. Turn right down Hampton Hill, then turn right again on Holyhead Road to rejoin the route at the junction with Ercall Lane. (This is much safer than walking down Ercall Lane with no footpaths).
Route 23: Sutton Hill
Upper Haywood: There is a problem of a damaged bridge here, This one may be long term.
Approaching from the West, just before you reach the bridge, you can see it very clearly, there is a Monarch's Way marker post. Take the clear track to the left for a few metres, this brings you onto the golf course. Turn right and walk along the very perimeter of the golf course passing a lake on your right. Continue for about three hundred metres - any golfers will be coming towards you so please give them plenty of space. You will see a bench with a clear road behind it. Just before you reach the bench you will see a marker post on your left this brings you back onto the marked Coronation Walk.
From the East - when you reach the marker post at the bottom of the golf course, you will see a bench on your left. Walk ahead to the very edge of the course and turn right. Walk for about 300 metres passing a lake on your left - any golfers will be coming behind you so please give them plenty of space. About 20 metres beyond the lake take the clear path on the left which in a few metres meets a Monarch’s Way marker post. Turn right, you will see the damaged bridge to your left, you are now back on the Coronation Walk.
If you look on a map you will see there is an alternative route walking down towards the Woodbridge and then turning left to walk up the road - this can be quite dangerous and we do not recommend this option.
