Stage 4a is virtually a circular. The route above starts at the long stay car park on the opposite side of Victoria Road from the Civic and Leisure Centre. The walk from the bus or train station would be slightly shorter. From the car park, cross Victoria Road and go straight ahead to the Leisure Centre where Stage 4a starts (see here ). Follow Stage 4a to its end. then turn right into the pedestrianised New Street. As you near the Market Square turn left into Bell Street and continue straight on into Tan Bank. Cross Victoria Road to return to the car park
Short Walk from the PRH around Apley Woods 1.4 miles (with possibilities to shorten or lengthen by 0.2 miles) .
