A circular route from Holmer Lake through Stirchley and Brookside on paths. This is greener than you might expect. This route can be joined anywhere , giving residents of Stirchley and Brookside easy access to the green spaces and corridors that were designed into the estates.
Note: The track down to the start point is very rough, so car users may prefer to start elsewhere on the route.
There are bus routes to both Brookside and Stirchley, if travelling from the Town Centre the No 3 bus stop at Park School is an ideal place to start the walk with the Co-op across the road for snacks if needed. If you do join elsewhere you could miss out the part to and from the carpark, this reduces the length to 3.7 miles, but you will miss the best view of the lake if you do this
The full route is not suitable for wheelchairs. The directions for a slightly shorter version., from a different start, using more road walking, that is suitable for wheelchairs, are incorporated in the description.
