The walk uses well-made paths to visit two pools either side of the eastern primary road. These are a great place to see waterfowl and other wildlife. From Trench Lock Interchange the route uses the shared cycleway and footpath towards Hadley before returning through quiet streets to Middle Pool
The route is on good paths and is suitable for pushchairs but some of the gradients may make the route too strenuous for some wheelchair users.
